District 3 needs Leslie Ledogar

October 27, 2016

District 3 needs Leslie Ledogar to support the needs and protect the quality of life of Eastern Sussex County. At a time when land use issues and a comprehensive land use plan are paramount concerns in District 3, her work in forestry, as an environmental attorney, and as a certified mediator are vital to providing Sussex County Council with the knowledge and experience to work for planned comprehensive growth in the county that includes the infrastructure necessary to support development and protects our natural resources.

The Sussex County Council has traditionally been made up of Realtors and developers who support any and all proposals to build housing developments and shopping malls in eastern Sussex County without concern for the road congestion and environmental threats incurred.

As the new comprehensive plan begins to be reviewed and implemented, Leslie Ledogar is uniquely qualified to assess its strengths and weaknesses and to fight for changes to ensure that District 3 achieves smart growth instead of the untrammeled development that is threatening our resources, our health and the safety of our roads.
