Dogs rescued from Seaford ready for adoption

Three dogs available, others recovering
October 20, 2017

Brandywine Valley SPCA recently announced three of the dogs rescued from a property in Seaford went up for adoption at the Georgetown Campus.

“These are the first dogs to be made available for adoption from the group rescued,” said Brandywine Valley SPCA spokeswoman Linda Torelli. “The others continue to recover in our care, and we hope more will be medically cleared for adoption next week. The ones made available today were in the best body condition of the group. The others suffered more advanced starvation and dehydration, along with other conditions associated with their neglect.”

Torelli said the SPCA continues to ask for the public’s help with donations to cover the dogs’ care. The care is intensive, with frequent small feedings and other medical treatment, Torelli said, in addition to external emergency and outpatient veterinary expenses.
