Don’t be fooled - vote Cooke, Hanson in Dewey

September 15, 2017

We have seen the expensive campaign signs for Bauer, Compello and Redefer circling overhead from planes. We have seen their signs all over Highway One-owned properties, and we have listened to their campaign event sponsored by Highway One.

There was a time in Dewey Beach when Alex Pires was a commissioner, and the bars ran the show. The town's policy and environment were all for the benefit of the bars, and little consideration was given to other stakeholders.

Now we have Hanson and Cooke trying to show balance between the needs of the bars, and the needs of the residents. This has resulted in a significant improvement in quality of life - the new "Dewey Beach way of life.

Highway One can't stand this and is all in trying to throw them out using other issues as a distraction. Don't be fooled. Vote for Cooke and Hanson on Saturday.
