VIA donates gifts for senior adults and Cape students in need

December 15, 2023

The Village Improvement Association collected and donated over $2,200 to provide gifts for displaced teens at Cape Henlopen High School and to elderly individuals without family support who reside at Cadia Renaissance Nursing facility.

Students each received a Cape sweatshirt, gift cards to Walmart and McDonald’s, and candy. Seniors at Renaissance received Dollar General gift cards.

The VIA is grateful to Walmart for its generosity and to LogoMotive Custom Apparel for its support.

“This is just one of the ways the VIA reaches out to our community,“ said Kate McKenzie, VIA president. “Our members work hard year-round volunteering and donating in the greater Rehoboth Beach area in an effort to improve the quality of life for residents.”

The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach is a women’s civic and charitable organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
