East Coast Garden Center spring class series starts Feb. 17

The spring class series at East Coast Garden Center will begin with a session on seed planting at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, with in-person instruction at the center.

The class series is designed to assist customers in making successful plant selection decisions, increase their plant and product knowledge, and ensure proper planting and care of their plant investments.

Each class fee is $10 unless otherwise noted. A variety of sessions are will be held at 11 a.m., Thursdays or Saturdays, running through Saturday, March 26.

Classes will continue with Spring Preparation, Thursday, Feb. 24; Terrarium Make and Take, Saturday, Feb. 26, $35; Right Plant, Right Place, Thursday, March 3; Orchids with Beth Davis from Waldor Orchids, Saturday, March 5, $20; Succulent Make and Take, Thursday, March 10, $25; Privacy Screens, Saturday, March 12; Birdscaping, Thursday, March 17; Spring Perennial Containers, Saturday, March 19  Color in the Garden, Thursday, March 24; and Gardening With Native Plants, Saturday, March 26.

Current COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.

Each one-hour class will include presentations and examples for hands-on plant familiarization. This format is designed to amplify the presentation portion of each class by showing the customers specific plants and varieties.

To register, go to eastcoastgardencenter.com or call 302-945-3489 and complete a credit card payment over the phone. Preregistration is required. Each class is an independent stand-alone, but customers can opt to attend several classes.
