Easter Seals and A.C. Moore spring campaign runs through April 15

March 24, 2017

Easter Seals and A.C. Moore are ensuring all children have the opportunity to succeed in the earliest years of life in an easy and crafty way through this spring's Crafting A Better World campaign. A.C. Moore is teaming up with Easter Seals' Make the First Five Count to help young children in their communities get the important Easter Seals services they need to live happy and healthy lives. A.C. Moore's in-store campaign runs through Saturday, April 15.

"Through the Crafting A Better World campaign, children can learn about people who have disabilities and the public can donate to help local people find independence through Easter Seals services," said Kenan J. Sklenar, Easter Seals president and CEO. "The A.C. Moore campaign is a great way to engage customers and the community. We hope it is a partnership that continues for many years to come."

Since 2010, A.C. Moore has raised over $25,480 for Easter Seals locally and nearly $1 million nationally, in support of Easter Seals' Make the First Five Count initiative. The campaign offers online resources, including a free screening tool, to help parents monitor their child's progress in reaching development milestones in the first five years of life. So far, Easter Seals and A.C. Moore have helped nearly 60,000 parents, grandparents and other loved ones take the next step in ensuring their child's wellness.

"As a company deeply involved in our local communities, A.C. Moore shares Easter Seals’ commitment to giving our nation's young children the best possible start in life so they can reach for- and realize - their potential," said Pepe Piperno, owner and CEO, A.C. Moore. "We are honored to continually support such a wonderful organization, giving customers of all ages the opportunity to express their creativity, while raising awareness and critically important funds to help children living with autism and other disabilities, and their families."

Also, Easterseals.com will be launching a video featuring Easter Seals children making a craft. A link accompanying the video will be used to connect viewers to a donation page to contribute as well as in-store donations.
