Elvis tribute set April 26 in Dewey Beach

To benefit Lewes Senior Activity Center
April 20, 2018

Elvis is in Dewey Beach, and he will be performing to benefit the Lewes Senior Activity Center at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at the Rusty Rudder.

Famed Elvis tribute performer Jesse Garron will bring his dynamic, two-hour show to the Rusty Rudder in support of the Lewes Senior Activity Center. With more than 12,700 retirees expected to move to the greater Lewes region over the next seven years, the LSAC faces an urgent need to more than double its facility size and programs.

“We know that seniors who are physically, mentally, and socially active tend to lead longer, healthier, more independent lives,” said Andy Zampini, LSAC board president. Zampini said the surge in population has the current center in Lewes bursting at the seams and requiring immediate action. A planned expansion will cost $1.7 million, of which $750,000 has already been raised.

“The Elvis tribute will generate funds for our project, while also meeting our objective of staying socially and physically active!” Zampini said.

The event’s ticket cost of $60 includes dinner and a drink ticket. To purchase tickets, go to www.LSAC.ticketleap.com or www.lewesactivitycenter.com, visit the center in person or call 302-644-0107.

Because earlier Elvis tribute events have sold out quickly, Zampini urged prospective attendees to get their tickets soon.
