A strong, feisty, caring, and intelligent woman, she met the challenges of life head on and with determination. Always active and full of energy, she loved gardening and sharing the beauty of flowers with friends and family. They were to marry by proxy in 1941 during World War II and then reunited in Lima, Peru in May 1945, returning to Vineland in 1948.

As an active member of the community, Eva spent much time and effort helping through her active participation in a number of organizations, however, the Hebrew Women's Benevolent Society was very special to her.
Additionally, with her education interrupted when leaving Germany, she returned to school later in life and earned both a bachelor’s (1975) and master’s degrees (1977) at Glassboro State College (Rowan University).
She is survived by Carol and Hal Welsh of Lewes, Mark (Peter) and Penny Neisser of Voorhees, N.J.; grandsons Richard and Jennifer Welsh of Wilmington, Matthew and Roxanna Neisser of Jupiter, Fla.,and Stephen and Sloan Welsh (of Lewes; great-grandson Macklin Welsh of Lewes; sister Alice Cohen of Newtown, Pa.; nieces and nephews; as well as family and friends in her community and around the world.
