Freezer donated to Milton Community Food Pantry

March 15, 2018

The Milton Community Food Pantry, located in Goshen Hall, showed off its new freezer donated by the Milton Community Foundation Feb 27. The MCFP was in need of a new freezer and the board of directors contacted the Milton Community Foundation that gladly donated the freezer.

The Milton Community Food Pantry, which serves over 100 families around Milton who are in need, is a coalition of Milton churches that came together to help the needy. The food pantry distributes food to the needy every Monday, and is always in need of donations; either food, in the form of non-perishable packaged foods, or money.

Any monetary donations are used to purchase food for distribution from community market partners who donate food or provide discounts.

The Milton Community Foundation’s purpose is to provide a way for local organizations and individuals to receive and manage funds to support community-based projects and activities. The foundation contributes to cultural, educational, charitable, civic and environmental programs while partnering with Milton's other organizations and the Town of Milton to  promote Milton’s quality of life.

Contact the MCFP by contacting Barb Wright at barbyogi@comcast.net or 302-278-9557 or Tom DiOrio at tjdorio@comcast.net, or call 302-329-9082 for additional information or to make a donation.
