Give Back information session set Oct. 19 in Georgetown

Ninth-graders may apply for full college scholarships
October 12, 2016

Last spring, three Sussex Tech ninth-graders were awarded full college scholarships from the Give Something Back Foundation, an organization that provides mentoring and scholarships to help qualified students complete a college degree at the University of Delaware at no cost for tuition, fees, and room and board. Bailee Bowden, Gavin Walter and Joseph Wilder were awarded full scholarships and will be paired with trained adult mentors who will support these students through the remainder of their high school years and prepare them for the challenges of college.

Now in its second year in Delaware, Give Back is currently accepting applications from ninth-graders across the state. A mandatory information session for interested students and their families is set 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, at University of Delaware, Carvel Research and Education Center, Georgetown. To register, go to www.giveback.ngo/info-sessions. For more information, email deinfo@giveback.ngo.
