Gloria Jean Hallowell, registered nurse
Gloria Jean Hallowell, 76, of Milton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023, at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa. She was born July 18, 1947, in Woodbury, N.J., daughter of the late Charles and Jean McIlvaine.
Gloria graduated with a bachelor of nursing degree from Helene Fuld College of Nursing. She worked many dedicated years as a registered nurse, as well as a pharmaceutical sales rep with Warner-Lambert and Warner Chilcott. In her spare time, you could find her sewing, knitting, and creating beautiful needlepoint pieces. Her love of gourmet cooking was appreciated and enjoyed by her family, and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Butch" McIlvaine; and her nephew, Jay McIlvaine. She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Michael Hallowell of Milton; her son, John Christopher Hallowell of Greenbackville, Va.; her sisters, Patricia Mennick of Crossville, Tenn., and Cheryl Marino of Paulsboro, N.J.; her brother, Bradford McIlvaine of Providence, R.I.; and her niece, Jenifer Manero of Glassboro, N.J.
