Greenwood CHEER Alzheimer’s support group to begin June 1

Greenwood CHEER Senior Center, located at 41 Schulze Road in Greenwood, will begin offering an Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Group at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 1, and continuing the first Thursday of each month. Alzheimer's disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States, and the fifth-leading cause of death for those 65 or older. Every 66 seconds, someone in the U.S. develops Alzheimer's disease.
