Greet’s column criticism way off base

March 28, 2017

In response to the March 21 article by Dorothy Greet: She questions whether Dr. Georges Dahr, a cardiologist, had read The Ornish Program.

She stated that Dr. Dahr had "failed to mention the most important step of all - stop eating meat and dairy," omitted from Dr. Dahr's March 14 Cape Gazette article.

Having been to numerous appointments and procedures with Dr. Dahr for my husband's heart problems during the past 10 years, I do not question for one moment that this doctor does not, at the very least, discuss meat and dairy being extremely problematic for people with heart disease.

For Dorothy Greet to question the intelligence of such a fine and caring doctor is beyond me. Maybe her time might be better spent on teaching plant-based eating at Osher Lifelong Learning.
