Growth continues at Active Adults Realty with three new agents

July 19, 2016

Active Adults Realty owners Kathy Sperl-Bell, broker, and Bill Bell, associate broker, welcome three new agents to the team at Active Adults Realty in Lewes. “The Active Adults Realty mission is to provide baby boomers with the most personalized service available in the Delaware real estate marketplace,” says Kathy Sperl-Bell. “We are very happy to welcome these three individuals at our growing Delaware real estate brokerage.”

Audrey Hammond is a native Delawarean who came to Active Adults Realty having worked for years in the hospitality industry and short-term commercial leasing for Simon Malls. Hammond earned her Realtor license in the spring of 2016, and chose to join the AAR Team. She saw the big picture and, “the wonderful opportunity to work and be trained by Kathy Sperl-Bell and Bill Bell.” As   the licensed assistant/showing agent and a Realtor, she offers unbridled enthusiasm and uber-local area knowledge of the surrounding communities.

John Beck has a bachelor of science degree in industrial distribution from Clarkson University and a master’s degree in business from the University of Buffalo. He moved to Southern California to become Watson McDaniel’s West Coast regional manager. In 2008, Beck retired and started his own business selling engineered pipeline products. In 2013, he left California to lead the good life in Delaware with his wife, also an Active Adults Realty Realtor, Donna Beck. In May, he decided to join Active Adults Realty. He believes that their clients will benefit from their double take on real estate. Just like the Doublemint Gum slogan, when buying the house of one’s dreams with the help of the Becks, “you’ll double your pleasure, double your fun, and before you know it the deed will be done.”

Finally, they welcome Michael J. Malone, who comes to Active Adults Realty with an extensive background in the construction industry and in golf course management. Malone developed a 90-acre parcel of land and the infrastructure for a golf course community in Worcester, Pa., and sold the adjacent lots for private residences. He then continued to manage the club for 20 years.

Having had previous experience in Pennsylvania real estate, Malone earned his Delaware Realtor’s license in 2016 and chose to join the AAR Team in January 2016. “Seeing the wonderful opportunity to work with a group that sincerely cares about their clients,” Malone is confident that his extensive experience in the construction industry will benefit his clients, especially those looking to buy a new home in Delaware.

“As the state’s only brokerage exclusively focused on Boomers and Beyond, they specialize in working with baby boomers who are not necessarily native to Delaware but who are thinking of making a move here to purchase a home that may become their retirement home,” says Sperl-Bell. “Our Active Adults Realty team of licensed professionals is experienced and familiar with Delaware towns and neighborhoods. Most importantly, they know what boomers today are looking for in a retirement home.”
