Holiday sale set Dec. 2 at Lewes Public Library

November 22, 2017

The Friends of the Lewes Public Library are hosting a festive holiday sale from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at the library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes. The sale offers a way to purchase holiday gifts while supporting the library.

Items available include a variety of new children's books including local titles such as "The Mermaid in Rehoboth Bay," bejeweled bookmarks made by a local artist, tote bags, Lewes ball caps, BeachOriginals dining cards, the Cooking with Friends cookbook and holiday greeting cards. A featured item is the limited-edition Lewes Public Library cotton throw produced by the Friends. A small number of the commemorative throws remain, and once they are gone, they will not be reproduced.

Also during the event, children can meet a real mermaid – author Nancy Sakaduski, who will personally inscribe and sign her book "The Mermaid in Rehoboth Bay." Refreshments including wine, iced tea, cheese and crackers, and cookies will be served.

Admission is free and sales benefit The Friends of the Lewes Public Library, a separate 501c3 nonprofit affiliate of contributing members who support the Lewes Public Library. Money raised by the Friends is used for book and media purchases, library programming, special projects and other library needs.
