If you stop into Hooked Seafood and Martini Bar, you’re likely to meet its owners.

“We’re here everyday,” said chef and co-owner Christian Colgan. “We put a lot of love into it. We’re working owners,” he said.

“We do everything from scratch,” Colgan said. “Homemade pastas. Everything is done old-school style.”

Colgan said he often serves old family favorites at Hooked, in the Midway Shopping Center, just north of Rehoboth Beach. “I learned a lot of my recipes from my grandmother and great-grandmother.”

In celebration of the restaurant’s fifth anniversary, Hooked is offering $5 specialty martinis named after co-owner and mixologist Tom Garvey. The Garvey Martini is made with Stoli orange vodka, Grand Marnier, Chambord liquer and a splash of fresh pineapple juice. “We give [our customers] the best ingredients that we can,” Colgan said, “ Behind the bar it’s all the fresh juices, all the fresh mixes, all the best vodkas and gins.”

Hooked is also offering a special appetizer menu, featuring a pan-seared tuna wonton plate with seaweed salad and mandarin oranges.  Among the most popular dishes are stuffed flounder and its famous lobster orzo, with wild mushrooms and smoked gouda.

“We’re really dedicated to what we do,” Colgan said. “We really love what we do.”
