Hoping for a big turnout for Father Mark

January 17, 2017

Father Mark Harris of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lewes has been at Dana Farber cancer treatment center for three months with no return visits to Lewes. His treatments are finished, he is greatly weakened as you can imagine, I have no knowledge of his prognosis. But the treatments are finished, he survived them and it makes him a conquering hero, as all cancer survivors are.

Father Mark is beloved by hundreds of people. For his return I wanted him to know how much we all struggled with him thru chemo and radiation, and I want him to see the love and support he generates in people. I asked parishioners to line the Savannah Road drawbridge Friday, Jan. 20, and as his car heads over the bridge to his home. We will all cheer him and Kathryn, wave flags, banners or anything to let them know we think they are over the top wonderful. We have about 75 people signed up. I want at least 100. If interested contact 302-645-8479.
