Jan Moffatt joins Gallery One in Ocean View; 11th anniversary reception set May 20
Gallery One in Ocean View announced that acrylic painter Jan Moffatt is a new partner.
Moffatt is a landscape painter, yet an intuitive painter, painting from the inside out. She said, “My paintings are daydreams, imaginings, meditations of places remembered or dreamt.” Her acrylic paintings often reflect her travels through England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Italy, describing the moment rather than replicating an exact scene. In 2014, she began the series American Farm Collection, researching each farm which portrays deserted barns and chicken houses of Delaware. Each painting stirs thoughts of the lives spent there.
A graduate of Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa., Moffatt has been an active member of the Art League of Alexandria in the Torpedo Factory and the Loft Gallery, Occoquan, Va. She moved to Delaware in 2016 and loves painting incredible local landscapes.
