Jill Hicks to sign books at biblion June 16

June 13, 2018

Local author Jill Hicks will sign copies of her latest release, “Sundial,” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 16, at biblion: used books & rare finds at Second and Market streets in Lewes.

Hicks’ skillful use of first-person narrative and dialogue engages her readers in the personal lives of her characters: some lovable, some not so much. Unexpected twists and turns explore the fragile complexities of characters’ lives and the relationships they have built – and destroyed – along the way.

“Jill’s novels are perennial favorites here in Lewes,” said biblion owner Jen Mason. “She has a knack for creating characters and storylines that readers get invested in. We find that once our guests find her novels, they keep coming back until they’ve read them all.”

“Sundial” is set on the North East River at the head of the Chesapeake Bay. Main character Faith Livingston grew up on the river. During an extended visit, Faith has the opportunity to resolve her greatest what-if. When presented with a do-over involving those who still hold her heart, should she take it? How much of her present life in Seattle is she willing to put at risk? Is it possible to reconcile one’s future path with an unforgettable past?

Biblion is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 205 Second St., Lewes. Copies of these and several other local author offerings are available year-round. For more information, call 302-644-2210, or go to www.BiblionBooks.com.
