John C. Huss Jr., proud Marine Corps veteran

John C. Huss Jr., 72, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at his home. He was born Feb. 13, 1946, in Johnstown, Pa., son of the late John C Huss Sr. and Elizabeth Kiraly Huss.

Jack graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School in Johnstown, class of 1964. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966-68 during the Vietnam War. Jack made his career working for the Chrysler Corporation in Newark as a quality control officer, from which he retired after 36 years in 2001. He loved traveling for golf trips and scuba diving, as he was a certified scuba diver. Jack was a member of the  Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 in Lewes and American Legion Post 17.

Jack is survived by his three siblings: Wayne Huss and his wife Delores of North Glenn, Colo., Dennis Huss and his wife Dawn of Rehoboth Beach, and Kimberly Heim and her husband Lon of York, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial, followed by military honors, will be held Saturday, March 10, at noon, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach, where friends may visit beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
