Kennedy thanks Lewes BPW voters

May 15, 2018

I want to thank all who made the recent Lewes Board of Public Works election a success: the BPW employees, election officials, volunteers, the candidates and the voters. Everyone took time from a beautiful Saturday to participate in an open and fair election.

I am appreciative of the fact that all of the candidates chose to run positive, issue-oriented campaigns, which served to inform voters as to our respective positions on matters of public interest and concern.

I particularly want to express my thanks to those who supported my re-election candidacy. I am grateful for your encouragement throughout the campaign, and for your vote on Saturday.

As a director, I will continue to keep an open mind on matters that come before the board. I will listen to all and make my decisions based on the facts, applicable utility statutes, and what I believe to be in our customers' best interests.

I will continue to work with our board and general manager to provide reliable utility service, and resolve customer concerns in an expeditious manner.
Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to continue to serve as a director of the Lewes Board of Public Works for another term.

Robert J. Kennedy III
