Kevin Matthew Bauer, aka Isabella Frost

March 22, 2017

Kevin Matthew Bauer, 34, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away at 4:20 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2017, arguably the most unique, quirky, sassy, and entertaining man you could ever meet. Kevin was born in Villa Nueva, Guatemala Feb. 12, 1983, and was adopted by Sharon and Edward Bauer when he was 9 weeks old.

Kevin soon became an older brother when Bryan was born. For the next 34 years Kevin sang, danced, entertained and reminded you to never take life too seriously.

After graduating from Overlea High School in his hometown of Baltimore, Md. in 2001, Kevin went on to graduate from Salisbury University in 2006 with a degree in communication arts. While studying at Salisbury, Kevin discovered the most effective way to express his love for singing, dancing and entertaining; he created his drag persona Isabella Frost. Since 2005, Kevin (and Isabella) have been performing at various venues, sharing a talent that captured the hearts of everyone who saw him perform.

Kevin eventually made his home in Rehoboth Beach in 2008 and so did Isabella. Both Kevin and Isabella Frost became synonymous with Rehoboth due to the fun and excitement they each brought to everyone who visited and lived in the close-knit resort town. Although she performed at various venues along the East Coast and won several pageants, Isabella Frost found her career as a member of The Bird Cage Bad Girls at The Purple Parrot, and Kevin found his career at Bad Hair Day? Salon in Rehoboth where he became an integral part of daily operations and famous for his amazing head massages and crazy socks.

Kevin leaves behind his beloved parents; brother; extended family; fans; friends; and his dearest Sugarbakers, who will always remember Kevin as the life of the party and a master of the dance floor.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to noon, for family and friends at Evans Funeral Chapel, 8800 Harford Road, Parkville, MD 21234. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at Bowman's Restaurant, 9306 Harford Road, Parkville. Interment will be held Tuesday, March 28, at 10 a.m., at the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 20 East Padonia Road, Timonium, Md. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held in Rehoboth, details to be announced at a later date.
