Ledogar appreciates support as we move forward

December 9, 2016

As we enter the heart of the season during which we celebrate and give thanks, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of my friends, neighbors and voters of District 3 who supported my campaign for Sussex County Council.

I am humbled by their investment in my campaign, both monetarily and in sweat equity. I am amazed by their outpouring of friendship and advice. And, even though we came up a bit short, I am amazed by and forever grateful for all of their votes. Going forward, I plan to stay engaged and active, because, as I am fond of saying, at the end of the day, we are all in this together.

I would also like to extend my congratulations to I.G. Burton on becoming our next Sussex County Councilman for District 3. He ran a strong, straightforward campaign based on his experience, and I am happy to begin a promising working dialogue with him as we embark on a new political season. I am particularly encouraged that during the campaign, a focus on "smart growth" finally took center stage.

My supporters and I hope and expect that it will continue to shape the 2018 Comprehensive Plan as I.G. joins county council. Here's wishing everyone a happy and joyous holiday season!

Leslie Ledogar
2016 candidate
Sussex County Council, District 3
