Leroy ‘Jerry’ Rolfes, Redskins fanatic

Leroy Gerald "Jerry" Rolfes, 57, of Frankford, formerly of Ocean City, Md., passed away with his wife by his side Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at his home.
Jerry was born in Baltimore, Md., Oct. 8, 1960, son of the late Gerald Gregory Rolfes and Marie (Bittner) Rolfes. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Jerry owned and operated Catz Custom Painting.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Jerry loved the ocean and going to the mountains just to see the beauty of God's creation. He was a Redskins fanatic and enjoyed collecting lighthouses. Jerry adored his wife and best friend Lisa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Kathy M. Tingle. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa S. (Tingle) Rolfes; two sisters, Christine Barnickel and her husband John of Baltimore, and Michele Welden of Baltimore; and two brothers, Charles Pochepko and his wife Chris of Baltimore, and Gregory Pochepko and his wife Nancy of Pittsburgh, Pa. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Alice Tingle of Berlin, Md.; a sister-in-law, Waetina A. Tingle of Salisbury, Md.; two brothers-in-law, John Tingle of Salisbury and Rodney Tingle of West Ocean City, Md.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at noon, Monday, June 11, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where friends and family may gather after 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Jerry's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
