Lightship Overfalls to celebrate 79th birthday June 15

On Thursday June 15, weather permitting, The Lightship Overfalls will celebrate her 79th birthday as an icon to the maritime history of the Lewes waterways. The Lightship Overfalls is one of the best preserved of the remaining few lightships now available as museums.
The celebration will be held on the ship grounds beginning at 6 p.m. There will be cake, 2 Dips ice cream, snacks, libations and other beverages and music. The Friends invite all everyone to join us for a fun evening. There is no charge.
However they hope that guests will consider bringing a birthday card with a "gift" (donation) to support the continued preservation of the lightship and museum programs.
