Limited-edition beers available at 3rd Wave Brewing

Only 100 bottles of Kohola packaged for sale
June 28, 2017

3rd Wave Brewing of Delmar welcomes the summer season with two brewery-exclusive, packaged beers, Bombora and Kohola.

Bombora is an 8.5 percent ABV, 87-IBU, West Coast-style IPA. In contrast with the traditional Bombora recipe, this 16-ounce can will be dry hopped with Simcoe and Citra Lupulin Powder. Warrior hops bitter the beer, and Centennial and Cascade provide flavor and aroma. Only 50 cases of the beer will be available to the public.

Kohola was inspired by an empty Chardonnay barrel. At 4.5 percent ABV, this Belgian Ale is aged in barrels with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis for 24 months. After barreling, the beer was dry hopped with Idaho 7 hops, which created a layer of tropical bitterness. Only 100 bottles of Kohola have been packaged for sale.

Lori Clough, 3rd Wave Brewery manager, said, "We're excited to share this beer with our fans. Kohola is one of our brewer's best sours to date, and Bombora is on a whole new level."
