Lions Foundation honors Dr. Robinson

September 26, 2016

The Delaware Lions Foundation honored Dr. David Robinson of the Delaware Eye Institute Sept. 19 for becoming the primary sponsor for the annual Walk for Sight.

Robinson read an article about the 2015 walk and was inspired to become involved. Robinson brought along 85 of his employees to the walk and created a competition for the employee who raises the most money.

Since Lions Clubs International was founded in 1917, Lions have worked on projects designed to prevent blindness, restore eyesight and improve eye health and eye care for hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Indeed, sight is one of Lions’ defining causes. Through professional training, healthcare system development and widespread drug treatment distribution, Lions have gained worldwide recognition for their work to improve sight and prevent blindness.
