February 20, 2024

For their first service project of 2024, Lord Baltimore Lions members volunteered Jan. 26 at the new Food Bank of Delaware facility at 102 Delaware Veterans Blvd., Milford.

Lions Jack Bauer, Paul Bolton, Terry Elliott, Pat Monahan, John Monahan and King Lion Scott Brannan worked the first two-hour volunteer shift of the day. The Lions were then joined by Food Bank representatives for the special presentation of a new bench for the Food Bank, to support the great work of staff and volunteers on behalf of the citizens of Delaware.

Food Bank of Delaware representatives joining the Lions for a pictures were were Cathy Kanefsky, president and CEO; Chad Robinson, vice president of external affairs; and Aaron Stone, volunteer placement manager. Stone said the new bench would be placed outside the new café so it will be seen and appreciated by all volunteers, workers and citizens visiting the Food Bank.

This marks the beginning of Lord Baltimore Lions’ eighth consecutive year of service to the Food Bank of Delaware.
