Lullaby students learn about community helpers

August 25, 2016

The students of Lullaby Learning Center recently learned the duties and importance of community workers. The themed curriculum, written and implemented by the Lullaby teachers, gave students a hands-on opportunity to learn about the people who create and keep the community safe and functioning.

Lessons focused on the roles of firefighters, police force, construction workers, farmers and teachers, as well as the reasons community members are thankful for their hard work. Students dressed up, role played, brainstormed and investigated the work of these community members throughout the week to explore the different aspects of these jobs. Lullaby Learning Center of Harbeson is a large childcare and preschool that provides early education to children from birth through 5 years old.

Lullaby is well known for its successful kindergarten preparedness program and advanced curriculum in all age and developmental groups. Lullaby students completed their week with thank-you craft projects that have been sent to many local community workers.
