Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing maintains top ranking
For the fourth consecutive year, RegisteredNursing.org has designated the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare as the best nursing school in Delaware.
The nursing advocacy organization evaluates and ranks nursing schools in accordance with pass rates for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing NCLEX-RN exam, the test nursing graduates must pass to become licensed and qualified for transition to the role of bedside nurse in clinical care environments. This year, 96.6 percent of Beebe School of Nursing graduates passed the exam on their first attempt.
The only hospital-based nursing program in the state, the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare offers one of the country’s leading accredited RN diploma programs with focus on foundational nursing excellence, experiential learning and ongoing guidance for students as they prepare to take the NCLEX-RN exam upon graduation.

Founded in 1921, the original Beebe School of Nursing was officially renamed in 2011 upon receipt of a generous donation from the Ma-Ran Foundation by Randall and Margaret H. Rollins. Today, students have a unique opportunity to earn a diploma in professional nursing, and upon graduation, are positioned to make a seamless transition to a four-year college or university in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in nursing. A lifelong commitment to learning is embedded into the culture of the organization.
“Our research shows that 85 to 100 percent of our graduates intend to pursue higher education as a means of continuously advancing their skills and positioning themselves well for career advancement,” said Pickard. “We support these pathways through partnerships with well-respected colleges in the state of Delaware, including long-standing agreements with the University of Delaware and Wilmington University.”
The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing is proud to be designated as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing, and is accredited by both the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and the Society of Simulation in Healthcare.
