Marian Joyce Koehler, owned Broadkill Store

Marian Joyce Koehler, 87, of Broadkill Beach, died Saturday, March 10, 2018, surrounded by family.

She was born July 20, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of late Marian and Ruth Steele. She was married to Bennie Koehler for 55 years until his death.

Mrs. Koehler and her husband owned several Delaware businesses, including Kirby and Holloway in Dover and the Broadkill Store in Broadkill Beach.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and David Rehkamp of Broadkill Beach; daughter and son-in-law, Dale and John O'Neal of Hartly; grandchildren, Ray and Jigie Hall of Dover, Bennie Melvin of Holiday, Fla., Lena Hall of Bowers Beach, David and Chelsea Rehkamp of Smyrna, and Brandy Rehkamp of Key West, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Jena and Boe O'Connell of Dover, Jasmin, Nicholas and Alexander Hall of Dover, Madelyn Zeno of Bowers Beach, and Trent and Dylan Rehkamp of Smyrna; great-great-grandchild Isabella O'Connell of Dover; and brother Jack Steele of Lewes.

Mrs. Koehler was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie; and her daughter Ruth Hall.
