Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls to offer free Whoopie Pie March 16-18

March 16, 2018

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls at 67 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach is showing its gratitude for more than 30,000 patrons who frequented the store in its first year. Guests who purchase any one of its famous lobster rolls will be given a free Maine-style Whoopie Pie during its anniversary weekend Friday to Sunday, March 16 to 18.

During its first year of operation, the Rehoboth Beach store has set near-record sales for the growing chain and was named Best of Delaware for lobster rolls downstate by Delaware Today after only having been open less than four months! It has also received 4+ star reviews from Google, Yelp and Trip Advisor.

Mason’s menu includes its signature lobster rolls alongside other delicious New England-inspired creations that cannot be found anywhere else, like Lobster BLT, Lobster Bisque and authentic New England Clam Chowder. Mason’s lobsters are certified sustainable, and lobster is a healthful, low-cholesterol protein with a lower calorie count than both chicken and turkey, so choosing Mason’s is a no-brainer!

While the ingredients are top-notch, delicious and affordable, what really sets Mason’s apart from the competition is the no-frills, simplistic setting that brings in a bit of the laid-back Maine way of life the instant a guest walks through the door with a contemporary spin on the traditional Maine lobster shack. The finishes are made of natural wood, with charming art and a rustic chalkboard-like menu. The Mason’s dining experience pays homage to a bygone era while remaining refreshingly modern and minimalist.

Mason’s is ready for the start of another exciting season with fully trained and ready staff, and a slight ownership change. Richard J. Sharoff, a seasoned restaurant industry veteran who serves as executive vice president of Mason’s Lobster Franchising LLC, has acquired a controlling interest in the store in a deal with former store owner Yuriy Fedoriv and his wife Jazmine, and company founder and President Dan Beck. The change officially took place last month.

Fedoriv is also one of the founders of the Mason’s Lobster Roll concept, and he remains a partner in the franchise company and continues to have a vested interest in the Rehoboth store. Mary Shapiro, a longtime resident of nearby Ocean View, who is an equity partner in the store with Sharoff, has assumed the day-to-day role of general manager. “We’re really excited for another great year serving the community here in Rehoboth Beach,” said Sharoff.
