Mental Health Alternatives sets vision board workshop for teens Jan. 4

December 26, 2022

Mental Health Alternatives Inc. invites preteens, teens and young adults to its vision board workshop from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, at HealTree, 1632 Savannah Road, Lewes.

MHA co-founders Elizabeth Sanchez, Amy Casas and Diane Winiarczyk will use guided meditation, movement and conversation to support each participant in reflection, honoring their feelings and manifesting their desires through their vision boards. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is $10 per person and space is limited.

MHA is launching a scholarship program to provide teens a direct experience with local health and wellness practitioners. To register or learn more about the scholarship program, go to mentalhealthalternatives.org/events.

In early December, MHA hosted its Gratitude, Connection & Joy event for local teens. Participants created their own personalized boards with words, phrases, stickers and artwork that represented the greatness they saw within themselves. They also had a chance to share the greatness they saw in one another. The evening was rounded out with breathwork, dancing, snacking and lots of laughing, which brought everyone joy and connection.

MHA is a local nonprofit supporting teens by sharing experiences and tools to help them manage everyday stress, anxiety and upset. In 2023, MHA will host events on the first Wednesday of each month at HealTree in Lewes.
