Milford girl marks end of leukemia treatment with trip to Medieval Times

January 2, 2023

Along with her family, Teagan Kneifl, a 12-year-old Milford girl diagnosed with pre-B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, attended dinner and a tournament performance at Medieval Times in Hanover, Md., to celebrate the conclusion of her leukemia treatments.

Medieval Times has donated tickets since 2004 for families with the Casey Cares Foundation, a Maryland-based nonprofit that provides uplifting programs for critically ill children and their families in eight states, including Delaware.

Thanks to Medieval Times, Teagan and her mother Tracey Condon-Kneifl, father Vance Condon-Kneifl and brother Liam Condon-Kneifl received upgraded tickets that included front-row seats and a cheering banner. In addition, Teagan was knighted before the show by the queen, and a personalized announcement welcomed her and her family to the show.

Kneifl finished two years of treatment for leukemia Dec. 29, and she was excited to go for dinner and jousting to celebrate the end of her treatment, as she is currently in long-term maintenance. Kneifl enjoys spending time with her family, and she is very aware of how everything has affected her younger brother Liam. Both kids like horses, and Liam rides at a therapy barn while Teagan loves to spend time with them. Since joining Casey Cares in 2020, Teagan has enjoyed doing fun programs like attending a Monster Trucks show in Dover and watching a Premiere Lacrosse League game.

Medieval Times Marketing and Sales Manager Rae Ann Cinquanto said, “We have been community supporters of Casey Cares for several years, and enjoy putting a smile on the faces of the children and their families by giving them a fun family ‘knight’ out making memories.”
