Mill Pond Garden Lights up the Night

November 30, 2016

Mill Pond Gardens opened the Garden of Lights Show Nov. 27. The show is an all nature and garden theme by Michael Zajic who designed the million-light shows at Brookside Gardens for the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and for Lewis Ginter Botanic Garden in Richmond, Va. This walk-through show along the banks of Red Mill Pond offered a huge amount of charm.

Put together by Sam Cashdollar, William Bayko and Zajic, the sun, the moon and storm clouds were represented high in the trees while pathways were lit and a fire pit roared. The very green light show is about 18,000 LED lights using only 1,380 watts, 10 amps.

New displays this year are: The Sun, The Moon, and the Willow. The next exhibition will be 5 to 8 p.m., New Year's Day, Jan. 1, at 31401 Melloy Court, Lewes.
