Streets filled for 10th annual event
March 16, 2017

Despite the chilly, windy weather, the streets of downtown Milton were lined with hundreds of people March 12 for the 10th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The parade, which lasted more than an hour, featured more than 60 floats, bands and performers. This year’s event was presented by Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.

“It’s a great turnout,” said Irish Eyes owner Tom Jones. “The parade gets bigger every year.”

Jones said the morning’s 5K race also grew by more than 100 participants this year. The events benefit local organizations, including the Milton Fire Department, Milton Chamber of Commerce and the Gladys Wilkins Seeding the Future Scholarship Fund.
