Mispillion Art League sets 6x6 canvas pickup June 1-14
Mispillion Art League is preparing for its annual 6x6 fundraiser auction with bidding open from Tuesday, June 18 through 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 28.
Artists who would like to support the initiative are invited to pick up canvases, then return completed artwork with wires attached for hanging, between Saturday, June 1 and Friday, June 14, at 5 N Walnut St., Milford.
Each artist will be given one 6-by-6-inch canvas free with the option to purchase up to three more for $2 each. Artists may create artwork on another substrate as long as it fits the 6x6 size requirement.
Participation requirements: All artwork must be strictly 6 inches in any direction. Each artist may enter up to three pieces. Participants must be 13 years of age or older.
A closing reception will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, June 28.
Mispillion Art League is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.
