Mountaire presents Delmarva Outdoors Expo April 27-29 in Harrington

This year, Mountaire is the presenting sponsor of the Delmarva Outdoors Expo, which will take place Friday to Sunday, April 27 to 29, at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. Delmarva’s largest outdoor expo will feature various demonstrations and events such as 3D archery, DockDogs competition, Whitetails of North America and more.

Mountaire will also introduce the Mountaire Chickin’ Pickin’ Championship to the event Saturday, April 28. Lineup to compete is at 11 a.m., with the first of three heats to start at 12 p.m.

Chickin’ Pickin’ is a contest of speed, skill and strategy. Contestants pick and shred all the meat from as many chicken roasters as possible, leaving no bones or skin. The picked meat is then weighed to determine the winner. The winner from each heat will advance to the final round for the chance to win $500 for first place and the title of 2018 Delmarva Outdoors Expo Mountaire Chickin’ Pickin’ Champion. Second- and third-place winners will receive $400 and $300, respectively. The meat will be donated to a local animal shelter.
