Music class sessions to start April 8 at the Listening Booth

The Listening Booth is launching its latest round of music education groups, aimed at fostering creativity, skill development and a deep appreciation for music among students of all ages. All classes will be held at The Listening Booth, located in the Tanger Outlets at 35000 Midway Outlet Drive, Suite 218, Rehoboth Beach. The space provides a welcoming and conducive atmosphere for musical exploration and growth.

Starting Monday, April 8, offerings will include a diverse range of six-week group classes as well as private lessons taught by experienced instructors.

Songwriting for Teens runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesdays. Led by Marissa Levy, a singer/songwriter and owner of the Listening Booth, the engaging class invites teenagers to explore the art of songwriting. Participants will delve into various techniques, from lyric composition to melody crafting, in a supportive and collaborative environment. Whether they're beginners or seasoned songsmiths, students will find inspiration and guidance to channel their creativity into compelling musical narratives.

Vocal Performance for Teens will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Mondays. A Vocal Performance for Adults class will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Mondays. Also led by Marissa Levy, participants will hone their vocal skills in a supportive environment. These classes offer a dynamic exploration of vocal techniques, stage presence and performance skills. Whether aspiring to the spotlight or seeking to refine their abilities, participants will receive personalized instruction to unlock the full potential of their voices.

Finding the Groove, a group guitar class for adults, is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesdays. Led by Nate McCormick, Listening Booth director of education, classes are tailored for those seeking to elevate their playing and jamming abilities. Sessions are designed to invigorate players’ sound and refine their style.
