Nancy B. Keyser, retired tax reviewer

Nancy B. Keyser, 78 of Philadelphia, Pa., went to Heaven Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Cadbury Senior Lifestyles in Lewes. She was born Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1939, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Atley and Violet Makin.

Mrs. Keyser had a deep and abiding faith, and was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Lewes. She worked as a tax reviewer in the Philadelphia area for nearly 25 years. She was an artist at heart, Mrs. Keyser enjoyed painting, both with oils and pastels, and crafting. She was also an amateur gardener and an avid reader. She will be remembered for her comedic humor, her sense of style and simplicity, including the flowers she wore in her hair, and her unending love of her fellow human beings. Most importantly, Mrs. Keyser loved her family and friends deeply, and cherished the moments she spent with them. She will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keyser was preceded in death by her husbands: Benedict Rose and Kenneth Keyser. She is survived by her son, Benedict Rose of Philadelphia; her daughters: Debra Rose and her partner Rae Ballard of Milton, and Cheryl Meehan of Pottstown, Pa.; her grandchildren: Nancy Hyland, Paul Meehan and his wife Zeida, Austin Meehan and his wife Tiffany, Colin Meehan and his wife Amanda, Raphael Ballard-Rose and Angelo Ballard-Rose; her great-grandchildren: Paul Meehan III, Fiona Hyland, Kaitlyn Meehan, Cassidy Meehan and Shaelyn Meehan; and many other family members and dear friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 11, at 11 a.m., at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Dr., Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 32112 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro.
