Nancy M. Vanaman, retired bookkeeper

Nancy M. Vanaman, 85, of Ellendale, went home peacefully to be with her Lord Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

She was born in Bethlehem, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles and Susanna (Wilhelm) Kemper.
She was a bookkeeper for First State Community Action Agency, and a member of Crossroad Community Church. She was also a master crocheter and enjoyed reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Lee" Vanaman; a great-granddaughter, Kamryn Gomes; and companion, Toby Taylor.

She is survived by her four children, Barbara Coverdale, Virginia Fortuna and husband Joe, Nancy Vanaman, and Walt Vanaman and wife Lauren; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m., at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
