Opening reception for Jack Knight solo exhibit set Dec. 14

At Crane Arts Building in Philadelphia

Long Neck artist Jack Knight will be having a solo exhibit, Visual Symbolic Expression, with selected works from his Sunnyside painting series, on display in Philadelphia. The exhibit is free and open to the public from Thursday, Dec. 14, to Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Crane Arts Building,1400 North American St., Philadelphia. An opening reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14.

Knight is a member of the Rehoboth Art League, Salisbury Art Space, Maryland Federation of Arts, Academy Art Museum, New Hope Arts, Biggs Museum, Delaware by Hand Artists, Delaware Contemporary Museum and Philadelphia Sculptors. He has won various awards for his work, which is represented in many corporate and private collections. In 2003 , he was a visiting artist at the National Academy of Design, New York.

Knight will be one of 47 regional artists whose work will be featured in an upcoming book, "The Delmarva School of Art," written by Dana Kester-McCabe for Moonshell Publications. For publication date, go to www.delmarvaschoolofart.info.
