Parkinson’s fundraiser to be held at Blue Water Grill April 9

Blue Water Grill is joining forces with the Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County to help raise awareness of this progressive neurological disease and raise funds to support local education and exercise programs for people who suffer from Parkinson’s.

The Millsboro restaurant will be donating a portion of all food sales from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 9. There will also be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle, with winners announced at the end of the evening. Blue Water Grill is at 226 Main St. in downtown Millsboro. To make reservations, call 302-934-5160. Takeout will also be available.

The Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County is a 501c3 organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. The group provides support to individuals suffering from Parkinson’s disease and their families through programs providing exercise and therapy specially designed to meet the needs of Parkinson’s patients. Membership is open to Parkinson’s patients, their families and caregivers.

The group also presents educational seminars on a wide range of topics of interest to not only Parkinson’s patients and their families but to the senior population of Sussex County. Meetings are held from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the first Monday of each month at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20276 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach.
