Pen-and-ink class with artist Edilu Nehrbas to start March 21

March 9, 2024

Artist Edilu Nehrbas will teach a class series on the medium of pen and ink from  9 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting Thursday, March 21, continuing weekly through April 11, at the Rehoboth Art League.

One of the oldest forms of drawing, pen and ink is also one of the most visually intense and compositionally complex. At the same time, aside from pencil, pen-and-ink drawing is probably the most portable, convenient and low-cost form of art making. Only a pen and a piece of paper are needed to be ready to create. Through exercise and practice of pen-and-ink techniques such as feathering, hatching, cross-hatching and more, students in this class will create textured drawing compositions using a variety of subject matter.

Cost is $185 for members and $220 for nonmembers.

To register, go to rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408, Ext. 112. All classes are held at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.
