People’s Place announces new executive director

People’s Place Board of Directors President Rocki Outten announced that the board has selected Mamie Charest as the new executive director of People’s Place, effective March 12.

Charest has been employed by People’s Place for more than 13 years in several administrative and management roles. She graduated from Wesley College with an undergraduate degree in business and earned her master’s in business administration from Wilmington University.

Charest and her husband Ron are both veterans of the U.S. military and live in Dover with their two children, Kaylee and Mason.
