The pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention. A pinwheel represents the whimsy of childhood and reminds people that every child deserves the chance at having a healthy and happy childhood free of abuse and neglect.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Prevent Child Abuse Delaware asks for support with awareness campaigns and events; wear blue or plant a pinwheel garden. For information go to pcadelaware.org.
