Postcard writing class set at Rehoboth Beach Museum Sept. 16

Reservations are required
September 10, 2016

It is true that postcards have been replaced by more immediate forms of electronic communication. But crafting a concise, readable message will always be a desirable skill. And that is why the Rehoboth Beach Museum will hold a workshop on the art of writing concisely - whether one is using postcards or Twitter.

Members of the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and the general public are invited to learn to write great messages on a postcard at a workshop at 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16, at the museum.

The fun and informal postcard writing workshop will be taught by Rae Tyson, a local journalist and writing instructor who is old enough to remember how to write well-crafted postcard messages. The class coincides with the latest exhibit at the museum Wish You Were Here, a postcard exhibit examining the history of Rehoboth Beach on those 3-1/2-by-5-inch cards.

The museum is at 511 Rehoboth Ave. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are required. For more information or to save a spot, call 302-227-7310.
