I am writing today to ask you to join me in voting to re-elect Sam Cooper as mayor of Rehoboth Beach for one simple reason. Results matter.
When Sam became mayor, there was no guarantee that Rehoboth Beach would remain the vibrant residential and commercial city that it is today. Then, as now, there was great pressure to allow developers to extract short-term profits from our residential areas at the expense of long-term value. Due to Sam's leadership, Rehoboth has the highest property values and the most vibrant business community of all beach towns in the state.
Sam has led the city through good times and bad, through times of national economic growth and a contracting economy. Through it all, Sam, more than anyone else, is responsible for keeping Rehoboth Beach the most desirable address in Delaware.
Sam has worked to ensure that Rehoboth is clean and safe, that our infrastructure is strong, and that Rehoboth is not just a great city to own property, but a great city to live in and enjoy.
Not only do we enjoy a great city, I believe the value of our homes is many tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars greater than it would have been without Sam's leadership.
I will be voting to re-elect Sam Cooper. I hope you will join me.
