Realtor Dustin Parker receives Delaware Good Neighbor Award

October 15, 2016

Real estate agents from across the state gathered in Dover Oct. 6 for the annual Delaware Association of Realtors Convention. At the convention, DAR recognized the winners of statewide awards for Realtors who go above and beyond, drawn from the winners at the county level. Dustin Parker, team leader of The Parker Group at Home Team Realty, was recognized with the 2016 Delaware Good Neighbor Award. Parker previously won the award from the Sussex County Association of Realtors.

According to SCAOR, Good Neighbor Awards recognize Realtors who have made an extraordinary impact on their community through volunteer work. In addition to the award, Parker received a $1,000 donation to the charity of his choice, the Bridgeville Lions Club.

Parker serves as vice president of the Bridgeville Lions Club, an organization that raises money for a variety of charitable causes in the Bridgeville area, including providing scholarships to local students and glasses for the visually impaired. He also serves on the executive board of Empowering Solutions, a nonprofit that focuses on humanitarian work in Cameroon, Africa, and has completed projects related to potable drinking water delivery, health centers and primary schools. Parker also plays the drums in his church praise band at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Seaford, and supports several other local organizations. As a sixth-generation native of Sussex County, Parker has a passion to serve the community he loves.
