Rehoboth Beach Jewish Film Festival to be held April 10-14

March 9, 2024

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society, in partnership with Seaside Jewish Community, will present the ninth annual Rehoboth Beach Jewish Film Festival from Wednesday to Sunday, April 10 to 14, at the Cinema Art Theater near Lewes.

This year’s festival program will offer a selection of 11 films, from documentaries and features to foreign titles. Tickets are $12 per film.

Among the featured titles will be “Irena’s Vow.” This extraordinary war drama follows the life of Polish nurse Irene Gut Opdyke, who was caught in a German roundup to be used as an enslaved laborer. She becomes a German army major’s housekeeper and risks her life to conceal a dozen Jews within the major's home. She was awarded the Righteous Among the Nations medal for her remarkable courage.

To cover overhead costs, the festival is seeking film sponsorships. To sponsor a film or to request free student passes, email info@rehobothfilm.com

A percentage of the festival ticket sales will benefit the Seaside Jewish Community.
